  • White sweet potato, baked (almost whole potato)

  • Garlic prawns - prawns, garlic, coconut oil
  • Roast lamb

Dinner:
  • 2 bananas
  • beetroot (raw), carrot (raw), asparagus (raw) - small amounts
  • roast lamb (about palm size or more)

BM good this morning. About half hr after waking.
Breathing problems have been quite bad today. Feel like gas is in stomach needing to burp  a bit.
I think the breathing thing also occurs when my stomach is quite full. (I did go to town on the sweet potato chips - best thing in the world. I would like to marry the white sweet potato :P )

Lunch:
  • Hoki fillet x 1

  • Sugar snap peas
  • Yellow squash
  • Beetroot
  • Pumpkin
  • SUPPLEMENTS: 1 Hydrozyme, 1 x critical digestion 
Dinner:
  • Turkey and shallot patty
  • 3 small turkey and shallot meatballs
  • Pumpkin
  • Green beans
  • SUPPLEMENTS:   1 x Zinc Picolinate (30mg), 1 tsp evening primrose oil, 2 x Paracea Forte, 1 x B6, 1 x Critical Digestion, 1 x Vit E&Selenium, 1 x Hydrozyme

BM's have now become quite regulated !!! Same time every morning, (half hr after waking) and normal colour!~ yay
This began about... 27th Dec. Tuesday. 
No headaches, no aches, great energy, clear mind. Going pretty well.
Occasionally bubbly tummy/ rumbles, gas. But mostly ok.

Snack:
  • Pureed peas, parsnip and pumpkin
  • SUPPLEMENTS: Bcomplex x1

BM in morning. Orange colour with green/dark speckles throughout. Relatively formed. Clearly digestion is not taking place as wanted.

  • Rabbit broth soup

  • SUPPLEMENTS: 1 Hydrozyme
Snack:
  • Rabbit broth soup

  • Banana ice-cream (about 2 large bananas)
Dinner:
  • Pureed turnip
  • Pureed butternut squash
  • Fillet of white snapper fish
  • 5 small cooked mushrooms pureed

3 BM's today.  All small quantity. Brown. Constipated segment appearance.
Ate approx. 5 bananas today and 2 pears. Far too much fruit. Tomorrow I need to make sure I keep it to about 2 pieces in total.
Experienced bubbling of stomach and bit of gas mostly in afternoon/night. Unsure as to why really, only changes are more bananas and fruit.. Will cut down tomorrow and see how it goes.
However wanted to increase fruit today to stimulate gastric emptying...
Read today about SCD and how taking supplements with illegal ingredients in them is against SCD rule. I have to take many supplements at the moment which are covered in cellulose !! There's not much I can do about that! I am just going to have to take it all everyday as it is. It is what it is.



FIVE


Katie. Day 5, 19th December 2011. Monday

Today I had an appt with my Naturopath. Got results back from a full digestion stool test. Shows that I am very low in beneficial bacteria, malabsorbing fats (steatorrhoea), deficient in pancreatic enzymes, parasite present, amongst other things. This means that I am deficient in many of the fat soluble vitamins. 

I also have been diagnosed with KPU (Kryptopyrroles) - meaning I am chronically depleted of minerals and certain vitamins. Mainly Zinc and Vitamin B6. With KPU, you pee all of these out leaving you depleted. 
I have been given a number of supplements. These include:

  • Activated B6
  • Zinc Picolinate (already has this) - to take once in morn and once at night (will increase to 3 times a day eventually)
  • Hydrozyme (already had this) : functions to increase stomach acidity to aid digestion in the stomach
  • Critical Digestion (probiotic, enzyme formula)
  • Probiotic formula (need to swap this bottle for a dairy free version however) 
  • Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate)
  • Paracea Forte (already had this)
  • Magnesium (wasn't given this from naturopath however will take once a day/ or every 2nd day)
  • Castor oil for castor oil packs. Will place this over liver/abdomen to soothe organs
  • UDO's oil 3.6.9. blend. KPU patients are required to increase their Arachadonic acid intake. Therefore I am to stop taking the fish oil (need to buy UDO's oil tomorrow from health food store)
  • Activated Bcomplex  - will continue to take these every 2nd day or so because they contain Biotin (which is also needed for KPU treatment) and B1 (amongst other B vit's) which are essential for me and which I feel I am not getting enough of through diet
I am to introduce the supplements gradually as I am very sensitive to great changes. It is expected that I may experience some feelings of unease as I work towards my greater health. It is only expected, as when important minerals like Zinc are being replaced, toxic metals and other toxins can leak into the bloodstream and cause unwanted side effects.

  • SUPPLEMENTS: Hydrozyme
Dinner:
  • Pureed turnip, pureed carrot
  • 1 x ripe banana (joy) !!!
  • bowl of banana ice-cream (just bananas) - pure joy. About 1-2 bananas worth
  • SUPPLEMENTS:  Zinc Picolinate 30mg, Activated B6
Water throughout the day (about 2L)

Did not have headache today! Thank goodness. Quite a good day in terms of how I was feeling.
BM also difficult today. 1 small BM in morn, 1 small BM in evening. Both struggles to get out. Look very constipated (segmented) however are normal colouring.

Good day. Glad to have some sort of plan now from the Naturopath! Am going back on 24th January at 2pm.
